The Beacon State Fund, in collaboration with the Governor's Commission on Women, is hosting a submissions contest for small businesses owned by Texas women. It should only be included on the registration form itself. Multi-page entries must have page numbers in the upper right corner of each page and should be attached with paper clips, not staples. All times and days are Central Time and the award of each prize is subject to eligibility and expiration provisions.

In the event that there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between these General Rules and the Contest Specific Rules, the Contest Specific Rules will prevail. Entries by mail must be sent only by first class mail from the United States (express mail and courier service are not allowed) addressed to Texas Monthly, participation in the contest (include the name of the contest), P. O. Box 1569 Austin, Texas 78767-1569; and email entries must be sent to the email address designated during the contest announcement. All contestants must be at least 21 years old in order to participate in all contests affiliated with an alcoholic beverage manufacturer or distributor.
Contest entries will not be returned and may be used by any contest entity for any purpose related to any contest, without additional compensation to the participant or any other person or entity. By taking part in this Contest, Participants submit to the jurisdiction and competence of the federal and state courts of Texas and waive the right to hold them liable. Even if a cause is alleged to be due to total or partial negligence of Texas Monthly or another contest entity, Texas Monthly and other contest entities are not responsible for any problems that affect or result from participation or attempt to participate in this Contest. Townsquare Media will not assume any responsibility for not winning or claiming any prize for problems related to telephone, fax, email or Internet, or for any circumstance related to a contest. It is important to note that Texas Monthly reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to interpret the rules of any Contest and such interpretation will be binding on all Entrants. The participant may also be disqualified from participating in this contest or receiving prizes if they participate in this contest in violation of their employer's policies.
